STRONGHOLD WARLORDS UPGRADE
The latest 'castle sim' RTS from Firefly Studios, Stronghold: Warlords allows you to recruit, upgrade and command AI warlords across the battlefield. Version 1.5 of Stronghold: Warlords will be released today at 3pm BST on Steam and GOG, with all content revealed in today’s summer and autumn roadmap to become available in the coming months. Alongside this second trail of missions, players can expect a new Thunderbomb Thrower unit and the Wolf Warlord, adding another ‘mini AI’ to the game with a unique perk and battlefield abilities. Set across a mix of existing and new battlefields, recreated from some of the finest Stronghold multiplayer maps over the past 20 years, each will challenge players with unique opponents, resources, tactical options and more. Stronghold: Warlords’ new skirmish trail will bring with it at least 10 new single player missions, providing unique scenarios to overcome for veteran players.
STRONGHOLD WARLORDS UPDATE
The addition of this new AI opponent also feeds into Firefly’s second planned major update for the period, a second Skirmish Trail Update. The grandson of Genghis Khan will bring with him a new castle design, along with fresh strategies to outthink and armies to outmanoeuvre.

After the positive reception of Sun Tzu in April, Kublai Khan will be coming soon to Stronghold: Warlords, growing our cast of AI in skirmish mode, multiplayer and future skirmish trail missions. A common request to be addressed in this content roadmap is to do with expanding the game’s roster of AI opponents. In addition a further two major content updates are planned in this period, addressing areas of the game players hoped to see expanded post-launch. The summer and autumn months will also bring a new mystery update which provides a fun spin on existing mechanics, with more details to come later in the year. Minor updates will add incremental improvements such as general fixes, quality of life features, optimisations, new maps and other content available within existing game modes. So we hope these new updates reflect that by giving players greater challenge and variety in their castle sieges, until we’re ready to talk about what comes next”.įirefly Studios’ update roadmap for Stronghold: Warlords is divided into separate tracks.
